USPSA Matches are held on the
1st Sunday of each month at CAGC. Setup
begins at 8:00, signup begins at 9:30, and the match starts
at 10:00.
Practical Shooting attempts
to measure the ability to shoot rapidly and accurately with
a full power handgun, rifle, and/or shotgun. Those three
elements - speed, accuracy, and power - form the three sides
of the practical shooting triangle. By design, each match
will measure a shooter's ability in all three areas.
Competitors move, negotiate obstacles, run, speed-reload,
and drive their guns through each of several courses as fast
as their skills will allow.
There are five handgun
divisions, each defined by the equipment used.

Go to
Getting Started or to the
Rulebook for more information about the requirements of
each division.
Since USPSA stages usually
have a higher round count, you will need 3-4 magazines on
your belt. You will only compete against those with like
equipment.
